Photographer Nick Knight is a contextual reference I am currently inspired by. The context changes in each photo shoot, however, one thing that stays the same is the powerful expression he captures from the objects and materials in his photographs. These two photographs are from two different photo shoots however I feel they both have influence in my 3D sculpture making. I have experimented with paper forms to create 3D sculptures in particular, triangular shapes which can be collaged and layered to create structure. Nick Knight’s photographs create structure and a strong sense of importance, I want to develop my work further by taking influence from his process and application.
